From Our Humble Beginnings in 1960 to the Present
Vassallo Engineering & Surveying Inc. began as a sole proprietorship of Daniel F. Vassallo almost 65 years ago, in 1960. For the next 30 years, Vassallo offered a wide range of engineering and surveying services. He also was the City of Williamsport surveyor until 1983, retiring from that position after almost 22 years.
Vassallo Engineering & Surveying Inc. became incorporated in 1990, with Vassallo serving as the firm’s president. His sons, Daniel A. and Dean, became vice-president and secretary/treasurer. The sons had worked part-time with their father from a young age, and in 1988, they became full-time employees. Daniel F. passed away in 2000, and now, Daniel A. and Dean build on the tradition of offering dependable civil engineering and land surveyor services.
Vassallo Engineering & Surveying Inc. Offers Quality Services
Vassallo Engineering & Surveying Inc. now employs nine full-time employees and three part-time employees. We have expanded our GPS capabilities to RTK (three sets), and we can run three coinciding survey field teams.
Since 1990, we have continued our business as a local land surveyor, handling surveying projects for both municipal and private clients. Our team has also consistently performed more engineering related projects for both private and municipal entities. As recent developments in gas exploration have expanded across our area, we have added Chief Oil & Gas LLC, Anadarko Petroleum Corporation, and EXCO Resources (PA) LLC to our client list. As well, we are the appointed engineer for seven municipalities, including:
Cleveland and Franklin in Columbia County;
Clinton, Muncy Creek, Old Lycoming, Upper Fairfield, and Wolf Townships in Lycoming County.
In addition, Vassallo Engineering & Surveying Inc. is the alternate engineer for Hepburn, Loyalsock, Lycoming, and Woodward townships.
